Now that Kyle has decided that he doesn’t want to go camping in a tent, we figure we can visit our friends who camp close to home. Day trips work well too. This May long weekend, we headed out to Birds hill park for the day to visit Derrick and the family.
The weather was warm, great for the beach. Unfortunately when we got to the beach the wind was so strong. The lake water was warm but everyone got cold as soon as they were out of the water. So our stay at the beach was cut short, not a big deal though, we headed back to the camp ground where the kids continued playing. They also got a ride on the back of our friends truck. Another fun adventure.

The kids had a blast and all they all fell asleep on the drive home. We sent the boys to the bathroom before going to bed and they were so tired that Andrew didn’t even make it into the bedroom, which is across the hall from the bathroom. I think he would have slept in the hallway if we left him.

Brock fell asleep just as quickly! As for the girls…they tried to stay awake for another 20 minutes. Was a good day!
