Mummy Thoughts

About Amelia Yap

2014
Five years has passed since I started writing this blog. The purpose is still the same, sharing my joys of life with you. Yes, it still helps family and friends figure what we are up to and where in the world our next adventure is in.

Forward 5 years, I have purchased a Mobile Home Park and have become a Real Estate Investor and now live in Ottawa. The kids are back at school full time but after a year and a half of home schooling, I am in a better place as a parent, more aware and active in the childrens’ education. Plus I am fortunate to be able to volunteer my time at their school.

My passion has remained the same, to surround myself with like minded people who support me in my daily endeavours and life choices. There is too much negativity in our lives, mostly not by choice so where I can choose, I choose positive attitudes. My current journey hasn’t changed much, I thrive to achieve as much as I can and always live for the moments. Every avenue is an opportunity, choices are made, some good, some not so good, we change course and move on. I hope to inspire others to understand that you can choose to do anything you want!

Initially this blog started as a journal to record my short & long term goals and accomplishments.  It has evolved and now in this blog I share my joys of life with you.  It also helps the family and friends figure what we are up to and where in the world we are hiding out in…

Just to let you know a little about myself so you can understand my blog, I am an internet marketer and I wrote an ebook “Go green for life” which I am marketing on the internet.  I am trained with various internet marketers and always learning new things.  I am also learning about investing in real estate, particularily Mobile Home Parks – so much fun. I am also a mum with 3 kids, Matthew, 8, Andrew 6 and Natalie 4.

My main priority is my kids.  That is why I decided to quit my Engineering job 8 years ago when Matthew was born.  Since then I have had various jobs that gave me the opportunity to work from home with plenty of flexibility.  I work before the kids wake and squeeze in time when they are occupied during the day.  I am blessed and I do hope this will inspire you to do the same.  They are only little for so long and I cherish every moment with them, most anyway.

I currently home school the kids and am loving it.  There are different challenges on different days.  We work through them and I enjoy the flexibility in our lifestyles.  I am Water Safety Instructor with the Red Cross, so I teach the kids to swim and they are currently learning Mandarin, French, Spanish and Piano in addition to their curriculum.

One of my passions are to surround myself with like minded people who support me in my daily endeavours and life choices.  My current journey is not the norm so I share with everyone my life and thought through my blog.  I hope to inspire others that you can choose to do anything you want!
