On Sunday after church, we went to Target and I walked around the grocery aisle and saw a huge bag of pretzels and thought why not. It would be a treat for the kids. When Natalie saw it in the cart, she asked if we were having a party. So I told them yes. We don’t have to have friends over for a party, so that is what we did that afternoon.
The kids used to have the Richard Scary book “The best mistake ever”, where they bought party food by mistake That is where the party food comes in, only for special occasions.
We had bought some Tim Hortons Donuts before we went shopping. So for the party we had donuts, fruits pretzels and some pop. The kids had to all wait till the afternoon party to have their treats. Talk about patience.
So Sunday afternoon we had our little party, just the 4 of us. So funny, while we were all eating and stuff, I got up at one point as I saw dirt on my boot and got up and decided to clean it off. Andrew said “Mum, aren’t you joining the party?”… So funny, they take parties seriously! We had a good time, chatting and eating and drinking… Good family time….
