Highway Road Conditions

Travel in the winter is always unpredictable. We planned to take the kids down to a water park in Minneapolis for a couple of nights but the forecast was for freezing rain. We were hoping that the rain would come later, sometime the weather forecasters can be wrong. Unfortunately this time they were not. So the highways are not so good this morning, icy, not advisable to drive on. Bummer!

Thank goodness our kids are easy going and understand when we explained the situation. Yes they are disappointed and they know there will be a next time. What shall we do this weekend? Any suggestions?
