The kids are growing so fast
Since we came home from the US, I have noticed Natalie’s behaviour with friends and family. She has grown, she is so much more confident and independent. I am not the only one that noticed it, others have mentioned it too. There is something to be said about being in new places and meeting new people. Living in Georgia and traveling around the US, we made many friends, different ages and from different walks of life. She was able to blossom.
She is eating tons too. Today at the pancake breakfast at church, she ate 3 pancakes and 3 pieces of ham, the same amount as the boys and myself! Wow. I guess she is growing and the best part was she went to get the seconds herself!
Matthew has grown too. The pants that we took down to the US with us were all too short by the time it got cool there. So now he is in size 10 jeans. Those long leg and arms like his uncle Joel! He didn’t stop eating while we were in the US either. What people have warned me about boys eating a lot is true, he eats as much as an adult. I am waiting for Andrew to catch up.
OK, Andrew has grown too. The pants that Matthew outgrew, Andrew is now wearing. I love it when the clothes can be passed on from one kid to the other without being put in storage. Once Andrew outgrows his clothes, it gets donated. Natalie, is a girly girl so she won’t wear things that are not girly. Good thing her cousin Erin has the same favourite colour as Natalie, purple. We are all happy to get the hand-me-downs. Very green.
Andrew is also doing really well in school, he is excelling in his math and reading. It is a good feeling to know where they are in their education. It feels good to know how they are doing and watch them improve and grow. It is a great feeling to be with your kids all day watching them improve. There are very few times that I want to ship them off somewhere!
People often tell me to enjoy them while they are little. I am and I do cherish the time with them. I am bless that I can spend so much of my time with them. Yes they grow fast. I remember vividly the day they were born. It was about 10C when Matthew was born, the sun was shinning and there was a bird sitting on the window sill of the hospital room…..
