Home Schooling for Matthew

Yesterday I was mentioning it to a friend that I wasn’t sure if Matthew was enjoying home schooling. I knew Natalie and Andrew loved the extra time with mummy and being able to play all afternoon.

This morning, Matthew came up to me and told me that he had a nightmare last night. About me sending him go back to regular school. Wow, this answers my question. I know I am doing the right thing. I feel lucky that I can spend that much more time with them. Everyone says they grow up so fast and I know it. Being able to help them and work with them is a joy.

Someone mentioned that I don’t get any free time to myself and I think, I signed up for the job to be a mother and I am making the most of it and spending as much time as I can with them. Sometime I need a break and I take it. We are bonding as a family. I understand this is not for everyone, I just am blessed to be able to do what I do….

Home schooling is not the norm and I have had different reactions from people. Some approval and others not. If you want to do something that is not the norm, just do it. Who cares what others think, what others think is their business, not yours. Just do it!
