Halloween

We came back from our road trip just in time for Halloween 2009.  I think that is Natalie’s favourite celebration.  They were excited to be able to go trick ‘a treating only thing was that we didn’t have any costumes.  We looked at costumes at different stores on our road trip and quickly decided that we were not going to spend $20 on an outfit that would only be worn once!  I think we got pretty creative with our costumes, check out the pictures, the kids were happy!

In the past, we would limit their daily intake and the candy usually lasts about a year.  It got a little out of hand this year as Natalie was constantly asking for candy throughout the day.  We had to put it away, out of sight, out of mind, that is what we thought!

Our Dentist, told us to just let them eat as much as possible and then get rid of the rest.  One sitting of candy is better than accumulation of sugar on their teeth.  So now we decided to let them have 5 candies at each sitting.  It hasn’t been a month and the candy is almost all gone.  This might be good for Natalie, the sugar princess.  Now I have to start baking, make sure they have healthy snacks now that all the candy is all gone.  I do hope there are no ill effects on their teeth from all that candy.  Kyle said that he has put on weight with all that chocolate!!  Everything in Moderation!!
