Spending time with Grandkids
Today was a great day. Natalie, who is three doesn’t like going to any males including her grandfathers, went out with my dad to Erin’s(cousin) musical recital. I asked her if you wanted to go, earlier in the morning and she said no. When time came to leave, my dad asked her again and she said OK. Might have something to do with the facet that she was mad at me. That is a great step for them to bond. After that he also took her to the store to pick up some food!!
The TV has not been working for the last few days (My dad is a little bit of a TV addict), so not too much time in front of the TV for everyone at home. We are not stressed tell the kids to get away from the TV while Gong Gong(my dad) is watching. The are zombies when the TV is on.
So my dad has more free time now. He played hide and seek with Natalie and they even played floor hockey in the TV room. Wow, considering he never really plays with the kids. I told him that he doesn’t need a new TV. He could be Natalie’s new playmate. I could dream…
Here is a blog post that relates a little to less TV and enjoying nature, a parent’s priority.
