Watching your kids

Have you ever watched your kids put on their socks? especially if they are perfectionists??

I watched Andrew putting on his socks this morning and it just warmed my heart.  Just watching him yank on them and then checking to make sure the pattern was the same on both sides.  It is great to just take the time and watch them.  They grow so fast.

This morning as Natalie came into the room and pick up something and talk to me, I realized that she has grown.  Where is my baby.  She is so clear with her instructions to you and really lets you know what she thinks.  Wow!  I cherish the moments…  All this in time will be a distant memory.

Talking about memory, we moved away from Ottawa almost 2 years ago and one day Natalie saw our wooden hearts on the wall in our bedroom.  She said that we had that on our banister in Ottawa.  Wow she remembers stuff from 2 years ago when she was only 2 years old…  They do remember.  Matthew did something similar when he was 3, remembering a place we had been to a year earlier.  I guess after a while they start forgetting things but other things remain.  The kids never cease to amaze me!!
