Nature and all its beauty
It is mid May in Winnipeg and the leaves are finally coming out. The trees are going to be lush and green and we can enjoy the warm sunshine and fresh air. This is how nature is intended to be.
Unfortunately all around us, we have been slowly destroying nature, chemical cleaners, wasting water and natural resources. Natural resources cannot be replenished. We need to realize that! We as an individual have to do something about it. What we need to do is educate ourselves, the 3Rs, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Think before we throw that piece of paper into the trash, can we use the other side as scrap paper or can the kids use it for doodling? If not recycle it! It is that simple.
Now that the spring river water is subsiding, it also leaves alot of junk on the river banks, like plastic bottle and plastic bags which are harmful to the animals. We need to protect them too. When you go to the store, if you don’t need a bag, don’t take one, or if you do need one, bring your own and reuse them. Our landfills are growing, so much disposal things are filling them up. Recycle what can be recycled, keeps the garbage down.
We are a family of 7, with 3 kids, we only have 2-3 grocery size bags of garbage a week (not even enough to fill a large garbage bag). How do we do this? We put our all our vegetable cutting into the compost and recycle all the cardboard and paper and plastics where possible. It is amazing what you can do when you think about it.
Let keep nature in mind while we head into summer. How are we going to protect our environment, our resources and our future. That is why I wrote the book “Go Green for Life”. I wanted to share everything I have learned to help protect our environment. As a thank you for wanting to learn more about going green, you can download a copy of my FREE report “27 ways to go green and see green“. Learn how easy it is for you to go green and save money and the environment.
