50th Wedding Anniversary
Today is my parents-in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. Who else to share it with but the kids and siblings. Tonight we had a little dinner party with the family and had a great time. The food was good and the company was fabulos. 50 years together is an amazing feat nowadays…
My 13th wedding anniversary is coming up and it doesn’t seem like 13 years at all. We like many couple have gone through the good times and the bad. It is a give and take arrangement. Sometimes when we are in disagreement, it always seems easier to just walk away. Unfortunately that doesn’t make for a good relationship. Communication is key, but you cannot lay blame when communicating. Be open, no matter how hard, tell it as it is. You will be surprised what comes out of the conversation. Remember, treat your spouse as a person. Never walk away, maybe initially when you need to cool off, but come back and deal with it no matter how hard. Being together is a learning process. I think Kyle and I have grown up and matured together. There are many other areas in our lives that we are learning about and exploring together. Do things together, spend time together. You are a couple. I look forward to my 50 years together with Kyle!
